Pike Place Market

On Monday, our day of presidents, I had to work. Now while I was a little bummed about this -- the good news came later on when I found out that I got to go home early -- especially because it was such a nice day out.

To celebrate -- I went with Stephanie, Alicia, and their out of town friends Micah and Rachel to the Pike Place Market -- it's so Seattle.

I did see one thing that I hadn't seen before -- the gum wall:

And this familiar scene:

A Valentine's Day Cookie

Now while mine and Stephanie's Valentine's plans weren't impressive by any means -- Her gift to me was really wonderful. She made me a Smart Cookie out of two of my favorite things: Ginger Molasses cookies (sooooo good!) and coconut ice cream (so gooood!). When they were put together they were pretty much the best thing ever -- I have pictures to prove it:

Do I really look like that when I am eating?!? Oh well.

New Years Bingo!

So I am assuming that most of you heard about this raging party that happened on New Years Eve in Silverdale, WA -- I guess there were a few national reports in the papers.  Well, it was all a result of Stephanie and I deciding that we wanted to throw a party for my nieces and nephews.  The party itself was a lot of fun, but the most fun was had during a game of Bingo (Thanks Bruce for the awesome Bingo set!)

Simon was really frustrated for the first couple of rounds because he really wanted to win one of the slap bracelets I picked up from Archie McPhee's.
My dad has found his new post-retirement calling -- Bingo caller!

Overall, it was a pretty awesome night.  We were going to have a prize for the kid that made it to midnight, but they all did.  We were more tired than they.  It was probably due to the massive amounts of candy that each of them ate.

Thanks family!

Tullycraft

The week before Christmas I went and saw Tullycraft with my brother-in-law Steve.  The show was fun because we both really like Tullycraft, and we first saw them together in 1997 at Pop Fest Northwest in Seattle.  This is a picture of Steve and Sean, the lead singer.  Sean is totally awesome because he only plays one of his bass strings and is kind of the most awkward singer ever.
